IndexNow helps search engines like Bing and Yandex instantly discover new or updated pages on your website.

When connected through IndexPilot, your site will automatically notify IndexNow every time you publish or update content so your pages get indexed faster.

This guide shows you how to set up IndexNow on your Framer site in just a few minutes.

You must have a Bing Webmaster Tools account with your domain added for IndexNow submissions to work.

Step 1: Get Your IndexNow Key From IndexPilot

  1. Log into your IndexPilot account.

  2. Go to Integrations → Bing IndexNow.

You’ll use this key to verify ownership of your Framer domain.

Step 2: Add The Key File To Your Framer Site

Framer supports hosting .txt files under the special path /.well-known/.
This is where you’ll upload your IndexNow verification file.

  1. In IndexPilot, download your txt file containing your IndexNow key.

  2. Open your Framer project.

  3. Go to Settings → General → Well-Known Files. Click Upload.

    /{{YOUR_INDEXNOW_KEY}}.txt

  3. In the New URL box, add in:
    /.well-known/{{YOUR_INDEXNOW_KEY}}.txt

  4. This is what your final redirect setup should look like:

  5. Click Publish again in Framer

  6. The file must be accessible at:

    https://yourdomain.com/sdfusuwdgpr_uxadsfsdfdewzv98lyg1s2.txt

  7. If you experience any issues with this step, please open a support ticket and we will help!

Step 4: Verify Setup In IndexPilot

Once the file is live on your Framer site:

  1. Go back to IndexPilot → Integrations → Bing IndexNow.

  2. Click Verify Key.

(You should see 'Verified') that means everything is fully setup.

If the verification is successful, your domain will be connected to IndexNow and IndexPilot will start sending new content in your sitemap to IndexNow.

Step 5: Confirm It’s Working

To confirm everything is working:

  • Open your Bing Webmaster Tools account.

  • Go to URL Submission → IndexNow.

  • You’ll see recent submission logs from your Framer site.

It can take 24–48 hours for new pages to appear in search results.
