Overview
IndexPilot's Article Export feature allows you to export your AI-generated articles to CSV format with fully customizable column names and field selections.
The Presets system lets you save different export configurations for different CMS platforms or workflows, making repeated exports quick and consistent.
When to Use Article Export
Export is Perfect For:
Unsupported CMS Platforms: Import articles into platforms not yet integrated (Squarespace, Wix, custom CMS)
Bulk Migration: Move multiple articles to a new platform at once
Backup & Archive: Create backups of your content library
Custom Workflows: Feed data into custom scripts or tools
Third-Party Tools: Import into SEO tools, content planners, or analytics platforms
Multi-Platform Publishing: Publish the same content across multiple sites with different formatting requirements
When You DON'T Need Export:
WordPress Sites: Use the built-in WordPress integration for automatic sync
Webflow Sites: Use the built-in Webflow integration for automatic sync
Shopify Sites: Use the built-in Shopify integration for automatic sync
How to Export Articles
Step 1: Select Articles
Go to the Articles page
Check the boxes next to articles you want to export
Click the Export button in the top toolbar
Step 2: Configure Your Export
The Export modal shows all available fields with their current column names:

Step 3: Customize Columns
Rename Columns: Click the Edit button next to any field to change its CSV column name
Enable/Disable Fields: Check or uncheck fields to include/exclude them from the export
Match CMS Requirements: Adjust names to match your target CMS's import format
Step 4: Export
Click Export to CSV to download your file. The file will be named articles-export-YYYY-MM-DD.csv.

What Are Presets?
Presets are saved export configurations that remember:
Which columns are enabled/disabled
Custom column names you've set
They're team-level, so everyone on your team can access them
Creating a Preset
Configure your export exactly how you want it (custom names, enabled fields)
Click "+ Save as Preset"
Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "WordPress Import", "HubSpot Blog", "Backup Format")
Click Save
Using a Preset
Open the Export modal
Click on any saved preset name
All column mappings and field selections load instantly
Click Export to CSV
Managing Presets
Load: Click the preset name to apply it
Delete: Click the X icon next to the preset name
Update: Load a preset, make changes, save as a new preset or overwrite by using the same name
